The world’s highest natural Cricket Stadium is located in Pissan Valley at District Nagar of Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan at an elevation of 8,500 feet above sea level. It came under the spotlight in January 2021 after sharing an astonishing picture of this stadium on social media by a local journalist. Natural Cricket Stadium Nagar became an aspiration for cricket lovers across Pakistan. Natural Cricket Stadium is within walking distance of 1 hour from Pissan main Bazar. It is around 1.5 km above the Main Bazar. The Natural Stadium is located under the shoulder of the ferocious snow-covered Rakaposhi and Diran peaks. These treasures make this stadium more unique and stand out from the others. The Pisan Stadium catches huge fans within a moment of days. The reason is its natural aesthetical gifts. It has a lush green carpet under the mountain nest. This stadium is among the areas of tourism-boosting projects in GB. Cricket in highly favorable weather (20°C) in peak summer when the rest of the country faces scorching heat. This can only be possible in Natural Stadium Nagar. The weather of this area remains pleasant during summer and a bit troublesome during winter. The temperature never spikes above 25°C in summer. The world’s highest natural cricket stadium Pisan Nagar officially inaugurated by GB Government on Saturday. in this connection, a cricket Tournament was arranged by Sports Department GB; the Diamer and Nagar teams played the first game at the stadium, where provincial minister Fatehullah Khan was present as the Chief Guest. Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani on the occasion said that the government of Gilgit-Baltistan is planning to promote the culture of the stadium in order to groom the local cricketing talent of GB. We hope that players from this region will represent Pakistan in international tournaments. Moreover, we want to unlock the region’s touristic potential that will spur economic activity in nearby villages and bring livelihood to people at their doorstep,” he added.
