Hushe is the last village of the Ghangche District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The valley is renowned for its granite rocks, snow-capped peaks, and stunning beauty. The valley is known for the surrounding high mountains of the Karakoram range, including several peaks above six thousands meters like Laila Peak, K6, and K7. Murtaza peak is 5,100 m just behind K6 base camp and is considered the epicenter of trekkers and beginners. There are many sub-valleys in the area, including Gondogor Charkusa, Nagma, Nanbroq and Mashabrum. Hushe village was one of the extremely remote and impoverished valleys of Baltistan. With the opening of Adventure Tourism by 1960s, Hushe Valley has become the epicenter of trekking and mountaineering activities. Hushe is no longer the poorest of villages, as its popularity as a trekking and climbing destination continues to grow. Climbers and trekkers come all the way from Baltoro Glacier, Concordia and K-2 via Gondogoro Pass, descend into Hushe village to reach Skardu District. Access to the Gasherbrum peaks is also possible going north up through Hushe Valley.
